Investment Interests: Physical AI, Material Science Innovation, AI workflows and Data Moats, and Smart Manufacturing

Born and Raised: I was born and raised in Germany but moved to the United States when I was 10 years old. I ultimately attended Phillips Exeter boarding school and then tried to join the D1 Wake Forest University Golf Team.  After failing to play in any competitive tournaments, I learned even at a young age how important practice, persistence, and commitment can be.  

After some time in Asset Management, I moved to Hong Kong and lived in Asia for over a decade.  In 2011, I started my first company and continue to this day to be in touch with my first angel investor.  As an entrepreneur and founder, I was fortunate to experience all the ups and downs of building numerous companies and utimately selling one to a conglomerate.  Now as a VC for the past decade, I have deep empathy for the entrepreneurial journey.

What I believe:  Success as an entrepreneur comes down to persistence, hustle, and a clear north star.  Luck and market timing are a driving force but I also believe that you can help "make your own luck" through the effort you put in.
